Review the audit log
See who created, changed, or deleted agents, campaigns, contacts, integrations, members, and API keys, and export the history as CSV.
The audit log records significant actions that team members take in your organization. Use it to find out who changed an agent, who removed a member, or when an API key was created.
To open it, expand Organization Settings in the sidebar and select Audit Log. Only the Admin role can view the audit log.
Read the log
The log lists the most recent entries first, 20 at a time. Select Load more to see older entries. Each entry shows:
- A short sentence that says who did what.
- The fields that changed, with the old value and the new value, for the first three changes.
- The name of the resource and how long ago the action happened. Hover over the time to see the exact date and time.
- A colored dot: green for created, amber for updated, and red for deleted.
Filter the log
Under Filter by, use the four menus to narrow the list. The filters apply together.
| Filter | Options |
|---|---|
| Member | All members, or one member of the organization. |
| Resource | All resources, or one of the resources listed below. |
| Action | All actions, Created, Updated, or Deleted. |
| Period | All time, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, or Last 90 days. |
The filters are saved in the page address, so you can copy the address to share a filtered view with another Admin.
Resources you can filter by
- Members, Organization, Campaigns, Contacts, Tags, Custom Fields
- Chatbots, Voicebots, WhatsApp Agents
- API Keys
- WhatsApp Business, Cal, Shopify Integration, Zoho, Google Sheets, Google Calendar
- Actions, which covers events that are not a change to a record, such as exporting contacts
Export the log
Select Export CSV to download audit_log.csv. The export uses the filters that are currently set.
Troubleshooting
The page shows No activity found for these filters. Set Period to All time and the other filters to their first option, then narrow down again.
I cannot see Audit Log in the sidebar. Only Admins can open the audit log. Ask an Admin to change your role if you need access.
An action I expected is missing. The log covers the resources listed above. Other actions, such as sending a message, are not recorded here.
Frequently asked questions
Does the log record who exported contacts? Yes. Contact exports appear as an entry with the member's name and the number of contacts.
