WhatsApp notification node
Alert your team on WhatsApp from a workflow campaign, for example when a lead turns hot, without messaging the lead.
The WhatsApp Notification node sends a WhatsApp template message to a fixed list of numbers, such as your sales team. It doesn't message the lead. Use it to alert your team about a hot lead, a failed call, or a new sign-up.
How it works
- The node sends the template to each number you list, from either a Kipps.AI number or your own WhatsApp number.
- The template can use the lead's data as placeholders, so the alert can name the lead.
- The node runs only while the campaign is Active.
- The node ends on Sent if at least one message was sent. It ends on Failed if none were sent.
Add the node
Open the Notify Team group in the left NODES panel and drag WhatsApp Notification onto the canvas. Double-click the node to open the Configure drawer.
Configure the node

Choose the sending number
- Kipps.AI number sends from a Kipps.AI number with notification templates that Kipps.AI provides. It costs 1 credit for each message to each number. If your credits run out, the node stops sending to the remaining numbers.
- My connected WhatsApp number sends from one of your own numbers with your own approved templates. Kipps.AI doesn't charge credits. WhatsApp bills you directly.
Changing this option clears the selected template.
Enter the numbers
Enter each number with the country code and no spaces or symbols, for example 919876543210. You can enter up to 10 numbers. Kipps.AI removes duplicates and skips entries that aren't 8 to 15 digits long.
Fill the template parameters
For each variable in the template, enter fixed text or a placeholder such as {{name}}, {{phone_number}}, or {{first_name}} to fill the value from the lead. See WhatsApp template node.

Troubleshoot
| Problem | What to check |
|---|---|
| The node ends on Failed. | Check that the campaign is Active, that you entered at least one valid number, and that you selected a template. |
| "WhatsApp notifications are not available right now" | The Kipps.AI number isn't available. Choose My connected WhatsApp number. |
| Some numbers didn't get the alert. | With the Kipps.AI number, your credits ran out. Add credits. |
